Saori Kimura: We have regained our fighting spirit

 

Recovering from an opening loss to Azerbaijan, Japan show great fighting spirit against Belgium.

Bari, Italy, September 24, 2014 – Japan overcame Belgium 3-1 and redeemed the defeat of yesterday.
Japan coach Manabe Masayoshi: After yesterday's defeat it was very important to win today, which entrust our team to the next matches.
Japan captain Saori Kimura: This victory is very important because it redeems the defeat of yesterday. It is very important to focus for the following matches. We have regained our fighting spirit.
Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: This was a marathon match, as well the one we are expected to play tomorrow against China. I am disappointed about the fourth set which despite of point to point. We did not manage to force a tiebreak.
Belgium captain Charlotte Leys: My congratulations to Japan. We did not start well but we recovered after and we restored parity after the second set. We could have won the fourth set and force a tiebreak.
