Ishimtseva: “We have something special for the next games”

 

Kazakhstan were rarely troubled by Thailand

Verona, Italy, September 28, 2014 – Kazakhstan will keep their best for the hardest matches to come as they qualified for the second round of the FIVB Women’s World Championship Italy 2014 for the first time in their history by defeating Thailand 3-0 at the at PalaOlimpia on Sunday.

Kazakhstan coach Oleksandr Gutor: “Sport is never easy. The team now is tired and need to recover. We will adapt our game for every team we are going to face. We will keep our best for the hardest matches.”

Kazakhstan captain Korinna Ishimtseva: “In the beginning of the match it was a bit difficult, but we got better in the second part. It was a nervous match. The second phase will be hard, but we will keep on fighting and we will give our best. We have prepared something special for the next games, but I will not say anything. It will be a surprise.”

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: “First of all congratulations to Kazakhstan for the qualification. Today we did our best, but it wasn't enough to win. We made errors and so we need to improve in order to get the best from our team. Now we need to concentrate for the Olympics in Rio.”

Thailand captain Pornpun Guedpard: “Thank you all, the coach, the staff, my team, the Thai embassy and all the supporters that followed us here and from home. We don't have regrets, but we need to improve for the Olympics.”
