Bulgaria- After losing their first two matches in this year's competition, Bulgaria bounced back with a win against Turkey (3-2).
- They can win two five-setters in a row for the first time since 1982-1986.
- They will play their 90th match at the World Championship against Cameroon.
- Elitsa Vasileva is currently third on the top scorer list with 63 points.
Cameroon- Cameroon have yet to win a world championship match. They could become the first African team to win a match at the World Championship.
- Cameroon have the second lowest points-ratio in the competition so far with 0.679. Only Tunisia have a lower points-ratio with 0.449.
- In their opener against Canada, Cameroon took their first ever set at the World Championship. Kenya (6) and Nigeria (1) are the only other African teams to have won at least one set.
