Bari, Italy, October 4, 2014 – China head coach Lang Ping felt released after her team overcame Dominican Republic in five sets here Saturday afternoon.
China coach Lang Ping: This was a very important challenge. We played against a very strong team. Our opponents were very good in defence and at blocking. I knew it would be a five setter, so I gave my starters some time to rest in the fourth set so that they could be fresher in the decider.
Dominican coach Marcos Kwiek: We began this match knowing that it would be a difficult one. We fought till the very end and we are satisfied with the point that we earned.
Dominican captain Bethania De La Cruz De Pena: We knew it would be a hard match. We did our best, we fought every points, that's what matters.
