Vande Broek: We had a lot of pressure but it's ok now

Belgium head coach Gert Vande Broek celebrates the victory.

Bari, Italy, September 28, 2014 – Belgian team were satisfied with their qualification for the second phase of the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship after ousting Puerto Rico 3-0 here Sunday evening.

Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: For a small country like Belgium with a short volleyball history this is a very good victory. We did our best against Azerbaijan and Cuba without losing a set. We had a lot of pressure but it's ok now.

Belgium captain Charlotte Leys: I'm very happy that we won today and our team expected this result. I think that my team was a little bit nervous in the beginning, but we knew that we were one of the best three teams of this tournament and we did it. I'm very happy to play against Italy because they play at home and there will be a lot of supporters.

Puerto Rico coach José Mieles: Unfortunately we had this result. We did not expect it. I'm really sad. That's it.

Puerto Rico captain Yarimar Rosa: It was painful. We didn't play how we were supposed to play. We made too many errors. I'm just disappointed. This is my first championship. I love it. I like Italy. I played the last two years here and it was good to come back.
