Trieste, Italy, September 23, 2014 – Serbia’s coach Zoran Terzic was very happy with his team’s play. Serbia won 3-1 over Turkey in match 6, Round 1, Pool B at Palatrieste on Tuesday.
Serbia coach Zoran Terzic: I congratulate both teams. The game was very good and I didn’t expect this. Now I don’t want to think about Brazil yet, I want to concentrate on our next match with Bulgaria. Today we showed a good attitude and a good shape.
Serbia captain Maja Ognjenovic: We are very satisfied. It is an important victory, as we play for every point. We served very well and we were good at the counterattacks.
Turkey coach Massimo Barbolini: Serbia is one of the strongest teams in the world. We have to improve our overall attitude. We know how to play better than this. Today we were at our worst in the attacks, with only a 35% efficiency.
Turkey captain Gozde Sonsirma: Congratulations to Serbia. At the beginning we played well, but then we didn’t attack enough.
