News Volleyball 13/06/2014 President Graça confident Italy will organise a World Championship to remember Lausanne, Switzerland, June 13, 2014 –With the ‘100 days to go’ milestone for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s WorldChampionship Italy 2014 due to pass on Sunday, FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° is confident that Italy has what it takes tohost a tournament to remember. “We are pleased to have Italy host such animportant event. The country is known for its passion for volleyball and itscommitment to producing top notch action,” said Graça.“As we head into the last 100 days ofpreparation for this important event, Italy’s volleyball activities over thepast months has only shown the world that they are on track to produce anunforgettable event. In March, the Italian Organising Committee hosted aspectacular Drawing of Lots event, which brought together all that is goodabout the country and the sport in an evening of high culture and entertainment.“More recently we witnessed a one-of-a-kind World League match in Rome where Italianfans cheered on their team to a win against Poland.
