"No more time for final six regrets" Turkey's Barbolini says

 

Turkey' Sonsirma and Barbolini, Kazakhstan's Gutor and Ishimtseva, sharing their thoughts with the press

Modena, Italy. October 5, 2014 – Turkey beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in their last match of FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014 Pool F, clinching a place in the final standing's top 10.

Massimo Barbolini, Turkey coach: “First of all I want to say I am proud to be born in Modena, a city that has adopted my team and embraced me. We cannot live in regret for not going to the final six. We had a difficult start, but we did not fall into the temptation of giving up, and that really makes me proud as a coach."

Gozde Sonsirma, Turkey captain: “Could have we made it to the final six if we had a better start? Of course we could, and we will remember that – for it will be a crucial part of our work on the road to become a better team."

Oleksandr Gutor, Kazakhstan coach: “Every hard lesson we take from teams this great is a precious lesson. We faced every kind of difficulty during this World Championship – injuries, bad defeats, everything – but we are proud to be here."

Korinna Ishimtseva, Kazakhstan coach: “We close this competition as happy as we had started it. We wanted to play against the best, and we did it. Qualifying to the second round was a reason of true pride for us, and we look forward to the next challenge."
