With Germany you never kow how it's going to end, Dominican Republic's Kwiek says

Rome, Italy, September 23, 2014- Dominican Republic opened the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014 in a tight and beautiful match, winning 3-2 on Tuesday in Rome’s Pool A.

Germany Coach Giovanni Guidetti- "In the first set we played well, but in the second they had to do their best to come back into the game. They did impressive defences, and we were very bad in spiking. We hope to do better tomorrow."

Germany Captain Margareta Kozuch- "We started well and we tried to keep going this way but in the second set we did many errors. We knew the first World Championship match could be difficoult but we stay focused for tomorrow."

Dominican Republic Coach Marcos Kwiek- "This win was very important. In the fourth set we had the opportunity to close the match but Germany is a team that fight until the end of every match. We have no time to celebrate because the tournament is very long."

Dominican Republic Captain Bethania De La Cruz De Pena- "We knew before the difficoult of this match, but it would have been so important to open the tournament with a victory and so we did."
