Hui was selected into the national team at the age of 16 in 2007. She is considered the player of greatest potential. Playing for China Jiangsu Provincial Club, Hui is diligent with an eager to learn, and trains very hard to acquire comprehensive tactics. Due to shoulder injuries, Hui missed the World Championship in Japan and Asian Games in Guangzhou in 2010, but recovered in time and become the key player of the national team won bronze medal in 2011 World Cup and fifth place in 2012 London Olympics Games.  
 
Expectation for 2013 FIVB WGP: The new team starts training together in mid-May, and this is the first important world tournament for us. During the past few weeks, we have trained hard and learned alot from our new head coach, the Chinese legendary coach LANG Ping. We wish to display our tactics and make wonderful performance in the upcoming matches.
