 Shanice was first selected to the Canadian Youth National Team in 2006 where she competed in the Youth NORCECA Championship.   She then went on to make the 2008 Canadian Junior National Team.  From there she went on to play beach volleyball before returning to the indoor court in 2011 when she made the Senior National Team and has been apart of the squad ever since. She spent her university volleyball career with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.  She was apart of an incredible team that won 5 National Championships in a row (from 2008-2013, they also won in 2007) in the Canadian Interunivesity Sport league!  During that time, she won two CIS Player of the Year awards, was named tournament MVP at the CIS National Championship in 2011, won numerous All-Star Awards, but what is most impressive is that in 2013 she won the CIS Female Athlete of the Year award for all sports.  This is the most prestigious award that the league has.  This award comes with a $10 000 scholarship to attend a Canadian university graduate school.  She was also nominated for this award in 2011.Shanice just completed her first season of professional volleyball in Germany for Dresdner SC where she was involved in another championship as her team won the German professional league. She was born in Toronto, Canada, but grew up and still lives in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
