Bari, Italy, September 27, 2014 – Belgium beat Azerbaijan in straight sets here Saturday morning to get closer to the second phase of the 2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship in Italy. Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek thought they had to win to continue at this Championship.Azerbaijan coach Aleksandr Chervyakov: We played bad and made a lot of mistakes in both defence and attack. Belgium played normally and they made less mistakes. We have to absolutely win tomorrow 3-0.Azerbaijan Captain Oksana Kurt Parkhomenko: We played badly in defence, attack and serving. On the other hand they played very well. Tomorrow we must do our best and win 3-0 or 3-1.Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: I don't think it's going to be easier because we also have to win to continue at this Championship. She has to work hard. Van Hecke played very well.Belgian captain Charlotte Leys: It was a very impressive game and very exciting. They did a very good job in service and defence.
