Verona, Italy, September 24, 2014 - Comments from captains and coaches of the USA and Kazakhstan teams after USA overpowered Kazakhstan 3-0 at PalaOlimpia on Wednesday.

USA captain Christa Harmotto Dietzen:

“I thought we executed well. Kazakhstan runs a very different offence and were all over the place. I think we handled it well and we were able to turn a lot of points. I thought Kazakhstan came out strong and played to their strengths.”

“I think Netherlands is a strong team. They will give us a challenge just like every other team in this tournament and they play a different style of volleyball, so it will be a great challenge. We are looking forward to it.”

Kazakhstan coach Oleksandr Gutor:

“We can play better. We made a lot of errors from service. The USA defence made it difficult for us. They have good players. This is our job and we try to do better in the next match.”
