Lausanne, Switzerland, January 14, 2016 – Brazil and Cuba were two of volleyball’s heavyweights during the 1990s.
The two sides clashed in the final of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in 1994 in front of a frenetic Brazilian crowd in Sao Paulo. But the likes of legends such as Mireya Luis, Regla Torres and Regla Bell sent the home fans home disappointed as they claimed a straight sets win to seal a second crown following their 1978 success.
