Yang Junjing was happy for China's second straight win.

Bari, Italy, September 24, 2014 - Azerbaijan captain Oksana Kurt attributed her team's 3-0 loss against to the lack of energy following a five-set marathon with Japan the day before.

Azerbaijan coach Aleksandr Chervyakov: We were particularly tired because of the hard fought match of yesterday against Japan. This is the reason why today has been a difficult match. China, indeed, has a higher block.

Azerbaijan captain Oksana Kurt: We were very tired and this affected the result. We played yesterday 8 pm and today very early, so we did not have enough time to rest. I think China is a good team and they have great opportunities to do better than Japan.

China coach Lang Ping: We made a good match. Azerbaijan has shown us a surprise, they play very good volleyball. They have interesting spikers and blockers. Greetings to No. 17 of Azerbaijan who I think is a good player. I think this pool is very balanced. We just need to be more patient because our team is young but already achieving good results.

China captain Hui Ruoqi: This is my first World Championships, I'm really excited and very happy for the results all the team have achieved so far. We are trying our utmost to go to phase 2 of the tournament. Our team is always trying to show the fighting spirit in every match.
